Access eGovernment Guide Introduction

Making Smart Choices

The Access eGovernment program will help county governments make smart choices about planning and implementing eGovernment. The main focus is on developing dynamic, information-rich websites that meet the needs of county residents and county government.

Providing Alternatives

Good eGovernment initiatives offer citizens and businesses alternative ways to find information, communicate with officials and staff, and transact business—at their convenience. It's multi-channel, 24/7, and user-driven.

A Work-in-Progress

Like eGovernment itself, this guide is in a constant state of development.

Quotable

Many forms of government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.
-—Winston Churchill
